Virat Kohli is celebrating his 34th birthday in Australia. He is currently playing the T20 World Cup 2022, with an aim to lift the trophy for the second time. Kohli may have light celebrations on his birthday today in Melbourne as he will be working hard to prepare for the Zimbabwe match on Sunday (November 6) that helps Team India qualify for the World Cup semi-finals. His wife Anushka Sharma may be far away but is not too far to pen a heartfelt note for her husband.

Anushka took to Instagram to share a lovely birthday wish for Kohli. She wrote: "It’s your Birthday my love, so obviously, I chose your best angles and photos for this post. Love you in every state and form and way."

After struggling for almost 3 years, Virat scored his first ton since 2019 against Afghanistan at the Asia Cup 2022 in August. That was Kohli's way to announce comeback with the bat. He has carried the form to the World Cup, striking three fifties so far. The one against Pakistan stands out for it came against the arch-rivals and helped India win from a precarious situation. The unbeaten 82 helped India not only beat Babar Azam's Pakistan but also ensured their campaign for the semi-finals was on track. Team India will bank on Kohli now to do well in the remainder of the tournament, starting with the match against Zimbabwe.

Despite 3 wins in 4 matches, India find themselves in a spot of bother with Pakistan beating South Africa the other day. That means India must beat Zimbabwe to qualify as if Pakistan beat Bangladesh then they will be knocked out of the tournament. Pakistan's NRR currently is better than India's despite twin losses for Men in Group at the start of the tournament against India and Zimbabwe respectively.
